Went in for recall repair My husband took his car there to take care of a recall repair. The technician cracked a piece on his dash. When he got in the car he noticed it immediately. He broughtit to their attention and he was told "That couldn't have been me I wasn't anywhere near there." Well it was not there before, and it's there now. Disappointed I brought my 2017 ram in for a service and my tire pressure sensor wasnt reading in the truck... port richey insisted that they could not fix the problem.. so I picked up my truck and brought it to lutz dealership where they went ahead and fixed the problem instead of trying to make excuses to get out of it... so I'll drive a hour for better service..
Oil Change Appointment Scheduled my oil change over a week in advance for a Saturday at 11:30am. FYI -my oil changes are covered (along with a tire rotation which I was not having done). Arrived at Ferman at 11:25 (time noted). After waiting my turn, I was checked in. We were waiting, not dropping off. Walked around the lot for some time, sat in the waiting room. 3 STRIKES AND YOU ARE OUT! FIRST TRIP WAS FOR TRANSMISSION SERVICE AND I HAD TO TAKE IT BACK 2 TIMES BEFORE IT WAS FIXED (STILL NOT SURE IF LEAK IS FIXED). SECOND TRIP - I HAD DAUGHTER'S CAR TOWED (1 BLOCK) IN BECAUSE IT WAS RUNNING HOT. I TOLD THEM RADIATOR WAS LEAKING AND I WANTED EVERYTHING CHECKED. I keep having to bring my car back I've brought my car in at least 6 times because the radio likes to skip set radio stations when you using the control on the steering wheel to change the radio. The first three times, I was told it was user error. Jamie found it and did a computer update, which helped, but the problem resumed after about 2 weeks. Rip off! I'll never return. It cost me $200 for a 15" vacuum hose to be replaced which took 5 minutes to repair. On top of that they did a safety check which they couldn't have really checked, because i personally maintained 4 moths ago all the items they flagged. Nice con job! They also told me brake pads were fifty percent gone. Not! The pads were changed 3,000 miles ago with light duty driving most of it @30 miles an hour driving my son to school ,1 stop light. Really they just wanted to get the $900 estimate out of me!
Same car $8k cheaper elsewhere I have had very good service from Ferman with previous used cars that I have purchased from them but this was my first brand new car purchased from them. Imagine my surprise when I found the exact same car from a dealership in Georgia for $8000 dollars less! I'm left wondering why the major price difference? Especially when I asked for a lower price on the car. I get it...."a sucker is born every minute". Thanks Ferman!
Jeep Wrangler I have purchanced our first vehical here, 08 wrangler. Was used but I was ensured that the vehical has been inspected otherwise it wouldn’t have been sold. Turns out after the first oil change that the oil had something in it to hide the problem. I had to have Amalie Oil company test all the samples to learn what I really bought. Poor Experience When you are told that your vehicle has a FULL SERVICE check but you notice that the washer fluid was not checked at all because your "LOW WASHER FLUID" light comes on! (the next day!) Makes me wonder if the oil was even checked??? Then your service rep asks if any updates need to happen?? How do I know? If there are updates why are they not checked for?
