We were scheduled for an appointment & informed there was a 15 minute grace period after scheduled time. Due to traffic, we arrived 12 minutes after our scheduled time & signed in. The front desk representative asked us to wait stating she was going to ask “her if she wanted to see my son since his scheduled appointment was 2:40” She walked away & returned to state he would need to be rescheduled. They canceled my appointment out from under me despite the fact that I confirmed my appointment, did the paperwork, AND showed up early. Turns out my appointment wasn’t even on their schedule today. Did they leave a message or email me to tell me the appointment was canceled? Absolutely not. Their policies matter more than my symptoms or struggles. Their only saving grace is that their front desk staff was nicer than the Fayetteville staff.
They prescribed physical therapy for my Vertigo. And suggested Telehealth. Which in hindsight on my part, is so ridiculous it’s laughable. Driving myself to them was bad…but someone over the phone can’t see my eyes (I had to lay on bed) during the maneuver to check on my dizziness. MRI too…which they said concluded no results for my symptoms. And on my last visit (drove myself there) they literally saw me stumbling out the door. The doctor's visit was excellent, but the scheduling process at the front desk was a nightmare. My initial reservation via the website was rejected simply because I chose to book an appointment with a different doctor. Since my regular doctor was fully booked for a month, I wanted to see another specialist for faster assistance. I had to find time to visit the office in person and argue with the receptionist (the right window as you enter, I don't know her name). The escalation of the situation started a heated discussion. I can’t find the right words to say how pleased I am with Dr. Herman. He listened, like really listened to what I was saying. Dr. Herman explained everything in a way that made sense to me. I never felt rushed or dismissed. He was very reassuring that we would find a solution to my problem. Dr. Herman should be teaching others bedside manners!
